All About Blendabilities

Hi all!  Today, I want to share with you more about these awesome markers! I want to let you know what makes these different from other alcohol based makers and give you some tips on using them.

Features & Benefits:
  • Come in a 3-pack of light, medium and dark shades (of the same color), of which one is true to the Stampin' Up! color.
  • Designed to work with Whisper White Cardstock with no piling!
  • Each marker comes with a tip on each end: brush and fine.
  • Marker tips are made of nylon, which is superior to polyester which can fray.
  • The best part - coordination!!! Blendabilities come in Stampin' Up! colors, so they are going to match your card stock, ink pads, buttons, and ribbons of the same color!

How To Use:
  1. Gather your supplies. You will need your stamp,Memento Ink PadWhisper White Card Stock, Blendabilites and scrap paper to cover your workspace.
  2. Stamp your image using the Memento Ink Pad. This ensures that your image won't smear when you color.
  3. Begin coloring with the dark or light marker where shadow where shadows would naturally fall.
  4. Then color with the medium marker. It seems to work best to color in a circular motion.
  5. Finish your coloring with the light marker. Keep going over your medium and dark coloring until it blends. Basically, just keep doodling until you are happy!
  6. Use the Color Lifter to fix any mistakes and add more highlights.
  7. If you are using another color, lay down the lightest color first.
  8. Then go back with the darker marker (I skipped the medium marker for more variation) to finish off your coloring.
Tips:
  • These markers are very easy to use! You just have to play with them.
  • The color will bleed though your card stock, so be sure to have your work area covered.
  • The Color Lifter doesn't really lift color, but rather it pushes it.
  • The caps are hard to get off, but a tight seal is important to keep them from drying out.
  • You don't always have to use all three markers, and you can mix colors in different assortments.
  • As alcohol based markers, you can color just about anything! Some ideas include RhinestonesPearlsVintage Faceted Buttons, and Mini Muslin Bags.
